Salary: $93,600 - 114,400 per year Requirements:

• We require at least 2 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, information security, security operations, SOC, incident response, or a similar IT security discipline.
• We need hands-on experience monitoring, triaging, and investigating cybersecurity alerts and potential incidents.
• We require practical experience with enterprise security tools and platforms.
• Experience with CrowdStrike or a comparable Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solution is needed.
• Experience analyzing suspicious files, email attachments, URLs, web links, or other potentially malicious content is required.
• We need a solid understanding of common cyber threats, attack methods, indicators of compromise, and incident response concepts.
• The role requires the ability to evaluate security events, identify appropriate response actions, and recognize when escalation is necessary.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and investigative abilities are required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• We need someone who can work effectively in a fast-paced SOC environment and collaborate with internal teams and external security service providers.
• Willingness and ability to work onsite five days per week is required.
• Industry-recognized cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA Security+, SSCP, CCNP Security, CISSP, or equivalent are highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Mimecast and Wiz is highly preferred.
• Experience in a Security Operations Center or similar security operations setting is highly preferred.
• Experience with incident response, threat investigation, and security event analysis is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence, malware analysis, and indicators of compromise is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of enterprise networking, operating systems, authentication, and common security controls is highly preferred.
• Candidates must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

• We monitor enterprise cybersecurity tools and platforms for alerts, suspicious activity, and potential threats.
• We support Security Operations Center activities by monitoring, investigating, and triaging security events.
• We review and handle escalations from outsourced security service providers.
• We monitor the information security ticket queue and investigate, resolve, or escalate assigned incidents promptly.
• We analyze file samples, email attachments, URLs, and web links to determine whether they are malicious, suspicious, or benign.
• We investigate potential security threats and help determine appropriate remediation and mitigation actions.
• We document investigation results, actions taken, and incident resolution in line with established security procedures.
• We escalate complex, significant, or higher-risk incidents to senior members of the cybersecurity team.
• We collaborate with internal IT and cybersecurity personnel and external security service providers during investigations and incident response work.
• We support cybersecurity projects, initiatives, process improvements, and other activities led by the Security Information team.
• We help maintain and improve security monitoring and incident response processes.

We are The ProSource Group, an IT consulting and professional services firm that provides experienced technology professionals to support our clients critical business and technology initiatives. We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst / SOC Analyst to join our consulting team and support cybersecurity operations for one of our pharmaceutical industry clients in the San Diego / Del Mar area. This is a 6+ month consulting opportunity with a strong possibility of converting to a direct, full-time role with our client. The position is onsite five days per week and offers a pay range of $45.00 to $55.00 per hour, a 40-hour workweek, and benefits including 401(k), 401(k) matching, dental insurance, health insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance.
